I love how this series expands and builds upon the original series, but is such a strong standalone story in its own right. I'm, personally, a fan of multiple POV's in this world because the plot gets SO INTENSE that it really helps you to get more invested in the story as you see every angle of the characters' decision-making. Their dragons are finally mature enough for them to compete for Firstrider, a position of power that can give Lee back a small part of what his family lost. Dance of thieves ending explained summary. I'm very tempted to reread Dance of Thieves just to see if I can pick up on any of the things that are revealed in this book. I loved the original "Remnant Chronicles" trilogy and was so excited to hear the announcement that the series would be continuing (albeit with different main characters). That's how much I liked Dance of Thieves. It spoils the outcome of the final book if you are planning to eventually read the original trilogy. Was this on purpose, that it's not very obvious, or were we just very unobservant? Dance of thieves ending explained game. Two things about Dance of Thieves especially impressed me: Mary's solid and consistent world-building that ties this story to The Remnant Chronicles and the early days of Jase's ancestors just after the devastation (see above) as well as the sheer romance of this story. I think the ending gives the second novel in this series potential. Basically, the queen sends Kazi to a semi-contested land (basically one family rules it, but the borders are unclear).
In fact, it clarified all of the confusion I felt in the first series. Jase: I definitely prefer Kazi but he's good, too. I saw soo much development in her writng in this book.
Not surprisingly, I thought that this first book differed greatly from The Kiss of Deception in several ways. Review for The Remnant Chronicles. After witnessing her mother being stolen, Kazi shut herself off to most people. Secondly, I think there were a lot of unnecessary scenes. So I was wondering: are you writing the sequel for DoT? I found it hard to keep up in a good way. A Fulfilling Conclusion to an Epic Tale in “Vow of Thieves” –. Secondly, this series already feels like it has much more of a distinct plot and direction than The Kiss of Deception had. As a love interest, he definitely teeters towards being a 'bad boy, ' to put it simply, although he isn't overwhelmingly one.
Also, you'll have a connection to the familiar faces (Lia, Rafe, etc. ) As well, again I have to be vague to avoid any sort of spoilers, ending. Overall, I was really surprised by how much depth these characters all had and how captivating the story was. I'm so happy that you enjoyed them both. The war criminal may be hiding at Tor's Watch, where the ancient Ballenger Dynasty is newly led by 19-year-old Jase Ballenger. I am such a fan of the world that Pearson has created, both in this duology and in its predecessor The Remnant Chronicles. Was there a specific country/region in our world that corresponded to the kingdoms and regions in theirs? Mary E. Pearson is in her element writing a quintessential young adult, fantasy romance. Kazi's backstory and Jase's history were so intriguing and emotional. I also loved the emphasis on friendships (especially female friendships) and family. Please do an book about the Kohmaizer, I would LOVE to know more about his backstory). Im still wary of the whole family though. And Lia is probably one of the best female characters ever created!

Goodreads Synopsis: When the patriarch of the Ballenger empire dies, his son, Jase, becomes its new leader. This book really suffers in the middle, the pace gets slow and the story gets pretty repetitive, I feel like there's a lot of book with little going on. Pros- Strong characters, great worldbuilding, and omg all the best tropes. There is so much packed into this one book, I swear. Another fantasy I would recommend. Lia found her and made her part of her personal guard, the Rathvas. And with so many Kingdoms and histories, maybe there will be more spin-offs to come. He made me very reminiscent of Rafe from the first Remnant Chronicles trilogy.
Jase, I mena who does'nt love the prince. One solution I have found is to write all those scenes/events down on individual post-it notes and then put them up on a wall or whiteboard in the order I think they would happen.
